The wait is over as the long awaited single by Wande Coal “Gbesunmo” ft BNXN and Ruger, is finally out.
Nigerian singer Wande Coal whose real name is Oluwatobi Wande Ojosipe rose to stardom in the early 2000s with the many hits he co-made with then music stars, Don Jazzy and D’Banj. The duo relocated to Nigeria from the UK in 2003 to pursue their music careers. They started and in the twinkle of an eye became big names in the industry but something was missing: an artiste with a rich soulful tenor vocal range. That was where Wande came in. They formed a very powerful team that dominated that space for many years. The most popular among their joint works were “Close to You” and “Pere”.
In 2009, Coal came through with his debut album, “Mushin to Mo’hits”. This was a big successful project as you hear songs off the playlist almost everywhere you went because it houses ever green songs as “Ololufe”, “Bananas” and “You Bad”. Till date, it remains a classic.
It is not new Black Diamond as he often hails himself has something for dance-able love songs. He does it once again with this brand new one titled “Gbesunmo”. He teams up with Buju and Ruger to create the Afrobeat fused dance banger. These two artistes are well known for their penchant for what the original song owner is best known for: dance cum love jams.
