The wait is over as the long-awaited single by Niniola “Belle”, is finally out.
Nigerian singer Niniola, whose real name is Niniola Apata, rose to fame in 2013 when she contested in Project Fame West Africa’s singing talent hunt competition. Though she did not emerge as the winner, she rode on the success of her song she released before she signed up, “Ibadi”. Subsequently, she came through with a sweet R&B melody, “Oyin”. This is one great melody that reshaped her music journey because the love tune is filled with rich lyrics, superb vocal switches and deep coolness.
Though she started as a pop & R&B singer, she later on, switched to dance songs. She did them so well it landed her a collaboration with Mr P of defunct music duo, P-Square.They were both famous for their liking and making of dance songs and P couldn’t stop doing it after the split with his twin brother, Paul.So when Mr P. wanted to make a sen$ual jam that would double as a dance banger, he looked around for a female artiste who would do a great job. He chose Niniola and smash hit, “One More Night” was birthed. It seems that was an era Nini realized she could do this dance thing so well and she completely ventured into House-infused sounds. That is why she has many Afro-house bangers as “Bana” “Omo Rapala”and “Boda Sodiq” gracing her discography.
Two years ago, she still wowed us with “All Eyes on Me” that banged heavily at our parties and buzzed on our aiwaves. The Afro-house Queen who has, already, four music compilations on her shelf gears towards to release of the fifth one.
It is only fair to note Niniola’s contribution to the industry has been massive as she has worked with greatest Nigeria’s DJs as Neptune, Spinall, Consequence and Crowd Kontroller for big sounds. She even went beyond the borders of Africa sampling one of American disc jockey DJ Snake’s House sounds with “Maradonna Riddim”.
Niniola “Belle” is arguably one of the hit tracks off her forthcoming playlist that arrives soon. Lately, she is fond of working with top Nigerian music producer, Sarz, for her latest hit joints. This time around, she teams up with producer of the moment, Niphkeys for this amazing comical bang, “Belle”.
