Aristokrat Records presents much-awaited single by BNXN “Laye Mi”.
Daniel Etiese Benson better known by the stage name BNXN and formerly known as Buju professionally started his music career in 2021 with the release of his first ever EP, “Sorry I’m Late”. This was a big success that got every good music lover wondering what a great talent he was. It felt like we should not expect anything better because too much energy went into the production of the great quality tracks off that compilation. But surprisingly, the gifted hit maker keeps getting better with his dope joints. In 2022, BNXN set everywhere on fire with the release of Blaq Diamond’s “Italy” refix. This remake was a mega hit that banged everywhere you went including our parties and streets. Since then it has been from one hit to another and the truth is there is hardly any year the hypnotic singer won’t thrill us with at least two big singles. In 2023, Benson put out his then highly anticipated debut album, “Sincerely, Benson”. It is worthy of note the critically acclaimed body of work rose to the top of some Nigerian music charts less than two weeks after release.
It is a truism and there for all to see he has really done well for himself in few years and while many of his sounds as “Romeo Must Die” which he co-made with Ruger off their joint EP, “RnB” are still buzzing on our airwaves, BNXN keeps grinding harder and attaining new heights. He dishes out a brand new one which is entitled “Laye Mi”. This fresh banger is a teaser off his forthcoming sophomore album, “Captain” which is due for release on July 3rd, 2025.
Buju stands out amongst his peers with the lyrically rich, deep and impactful music he constantly rolls out. Laye Mi is one soothing inspirational melody that will definitely motivate every struggling, hardworking man and woman out there. He acknowledges the great works of his “fathers” in the industry as he samples legendary Fuji musicians Alabi Pasuma and K1 D Ultimate’s classics, Emi “Laye Mi” and “Ero Mi To n Jo”.
