In the midst of hundreds of music producers in the industry today, music producer Decs has been working tirelessly, lately, to make a name for himself.
You may wonder: Who is Decs? Yes that was exactly how I felt too when I first heard his signature on one his early productions. Well, I investigated and found out he is a new kid on the block. Despite his newness, the pace at which he is growing could be said to be in geometric and could be likened to that of wildfire in harmattan.. You may not know this but let me tell you now the magically fingered beat maker is a character in the success story of Nigerian Hip-Hop star, Odumodublvck’s critically acclaimed album, “Industry Machine” that houses many big, dope tracks. And for your information, he co-produced hit track, “100 Million” featuring Tiwa Savage and mixed and mastered some other tracks off the compilation.
Before this, he had worked with fast rising Nigerian singer, Ayo Maff on two successful songs, “Panic” and “Hello” off the latter’s sophomore playlist, “Prince Of The Street”. The musical chemistry between these two creatives is so strong they sat down together once again, of recent, to make fresh m@nster hit, “Tension”. What differentiates him from many of his peers is his ability to switch between different sounds. What do I mean? Most producers stick to just one sound for example R&B. Decs brief but rich production profile makes me strongly feel he can produce any kind of sound well- be it Hip-Hop, Pop, Party/ Dance or Alternative.
It is worthy of note the passion of this young artist and the dedication to his craft has taken him far and wide around the world. It has taken him not only to Lagos, Nigeria but also to cities and countries as Kenya, Morocco, Portugal and Los Angeles, United States.
