[NEW MUSIC]: Zlatan – “Hip Hop Messiah” Ft Davido

Finally, the long-awaited track by Zlatan “Hip Hop Messiah” ft Davido, is out.

Nigerian rapper and singer, Zlatan, whose real name is Temidayo Raphael Omoniyi and whose fans call “Zlatan Ibile” first became noticed in Nigeria ‘s music space in 2017 with a collaboration with indigenous rapper Chinko Ekun titled “Able God”. The gifted rapper’s performance and delivery on that joint was so electrifying it blew everyone away and made many wonder where Zlatan came from. Before we knew it he had transformed into one of the most sought-after local rappers. Omoniyi’s music profile soared higher when Naira Marley put him on “Am I A Yahoo Boy” because the song went viral just in days. That was, really, a turning point in Temidayo’s music journey. Subsequently, he came through with Zanku (Legwork). This highly successful song attracted him to top Nigerian singers. Baba Imade teamed up with him for “Bum Bum” and it was almost deafening as it buzzed heavily on our airwaves, at parties, on the streets and at clubs. Burna boy saw what happened and gladlyand hurriedly accepted Zlatan’s offer for team-up, “Gbeku” that became “wahala” everywhere in no time.

And that same year, he released his debut EP which he titled “ZANKU” (Zlatan Abeg No K!ll Us). As funny and playful as this sounds, it is indeed, a serious compilation of well-written, lyrically rich and hard great Afro Hip-hop melodies. I remember one of the best songs off that playlist, “Distracted” which hosts Nigeria ‘s Dancehall star, Patoranking and how enjoyable that is till today.

While many of his tune classics as “This Year” are busy playing in our heads, Zanku Records presents Zlatan’s brand new bang, “Hip Hop Messiah” ft Davido. He teams up with the internationally recognized Afrobeats giant for this fresh Afro Hip-hop banger. Davido is always agitated and supercharged when it comes to Hip-Hop-themed songs. We all know what he did on Reminisce’s “Daddy Mi” and Olamide’s “Summer Body”. There is also this jam off his critically acclaimed album,”A Better Time”, “Holy Ground” featuring Nicki Minaj – he gave his all. It is an established truth David has great liking for Afro Hip-hop songs and has not only demonstrated this countless times but also did it beautifully.

Zlatan “Hip Hop Messiah” ft Davido is one hard and cr@zy Afro Hip-hop collaboration and it is a track off his fresh third studio album whose title is “Symbol of Hope”. They have done this together in the past and they turned out to be smash- this is no exception.
