The wait is over as the highly anticipated single by Fola “You”, is finally out.
The super gifted singer started doing music at an early age but started professionally in 2023 with the release of his debut EP, “Catharsis”. This music compilation performed fairly. Fola, who wasn’t satisfied with the reception of his project, grinded still.
And in 2024 things changed for better with “Alone”- an Alternative music-infused bang he did with BahdBoi OML. He later went harder with his sophomore EP, “What a Feeling” which houses hit track, “Alone” remix ft BNXN and other dope joints as “Who Does That?” ft. Bella Shmurda, “Mandela” (effect) and “Tonight”.
In a short time, Fola’s music profile had become so robust international Nigerian disc jockey DJ Tunez who had worked with many great acts as Wanade Coal and Wizkid for smash hits wanted another big sound with the “Big Bird”. He scanned through the music industry for an artist whose energy and talent would match that of Big Wiz. He settled for the choice of Fola. He did not disappoint as he delivered, as always, a lyrically rich verse that made “One Condition” that happens to be one of the biggest sounds right now both in Nigeria, the UK and the US.
While still gliding on the huge success of that, he teams up with one of the biggest music producers out of Africa and famous Grammy Award-winner, Kel P for this brand new tune, “You”. The producer extraordinaire’s use of a danceable beat and the trumpet sound complements greatly Fola ‘s rich dope lyrics and complements the female back up singer’s soulful vocals towards the end of the track to form an addictive, resounding love banger.
Fola “You” is a tale of abuse of true love. The persona asks his ex girlfriend for forgiveness, highlights the sweet memories and her great physical attributes he misses and wishes for a rewind.
