Finally, the official video for “Save Me” by 2Baba and Oscar Herman-Ackah, is out.
Innocent Idibia popularly known as 2Baba and formerly TuBaba broke away from Afro R&B/ Pop band, Plantashun Boiz in the early 2000s. And in 2003 he launched his music career as a solo artiste with the release of the “African Queen” album. The ever-green music compilation houses then many hit tracks including album title track, “African Queen”, “Ole” and “Ifene Ibawa”. For many years, no album could come close because of its huge dominance. Since then the legendary singer spreads on the Nigerian music scene like an albatross as continually wows us with his amazing sounds. Even when the now “Big 4” were still “small” and were the trend 2Baba refused to be swallowed up. At a time, Wizkid did a collaboration with him, “Dance Go” which remains a banger till today.
2Baba’s discography is so large I can’t start to mention his hits but they are there for everyone to see. I’m sure you remember music executive Larry Gaga’s “Gaaga Shuffle” and how resounding that was. I’m sure you also remember his team-up with Davido Music Worldwide’s Peruzzi for “Amaka” that “disturbed” our airwaves for years after release.
Though music is now his part-time vocation, he still manages, maybe bi-yearly, to delight us occasionally with his cool, soothing music. While many of his classics still linger in our heads, A Guy Entertainment presents fresh hit, “Save Me” by 2Baba. He teamed up with iconic Ghanaian-Nigerian Alternative music producer, Oscar for this fresh Alternative bang which is the lead single off the original soundtrack album for TV Series, “To Kill A Monkey”.
He fires back at at his critics for their hypocrisy and double standards and reminds them he is also human.
