How to make your Black T-shirts Last Forever!

No matter how many I have at a time, it saddens me (as a deep lover of black t-shirts) to see just one fading out. If you are someone like me who is cr@zy and passionate about black t-shirts, then you are in the right place as I am about to expose you to some tricks to ensure your black t-shirts last forever!

1.  Hand washing

Though there has been a debate in the fashion industry for decades now on which preserves our clothes better between machine-washing and hand-washing. From personal experience, I believe hand-washing is the best for your t-shirts. The simple trick of hand-washing will definitely make your black t-shirts last for a very long time if not forever. To start, pour some mild moderate detergent powder into a bowl or bucket and work into lather. Afterwards, reverse your black t-shirt and soak into the lather for about 20 minutes. The next thing to do is to start washing. While washing you have to be very mindful of the way you handle the neck of your t-shirts. To wash the neck of your t-shirt, place your thumb finger and the index finger to hold the neck of your t-shirt and carefully massage the inner and outer neck of your black t-shirts.  This is to avoid the quick collapse of the neck. This collapse could mean beginning of the end of the beauty or crispness of your black t-shirt. Wash the body and sleeves carefully too and don’t forget to rinse properly as well.

2.  Do not Spread under Direct Sunlight

How you dry them determines how long your black t-shirts last. After washing and rinsing, do not spread under direct sunlight. You can spread somewhere inside your house. But ensure it is airy there so that it doesn’t remain damp for too long.

3.  Iron in Low Heat

Though, not every t-shirt needs ironing, some require ironing which will make them look new and crisp again. For example, ironing black t-shirts made of 100% cotton is okay for ironing. Sprinkle some water on your shirt. That is, dampen it. Before ironing, one important warning you must, take seriously is: do not iron in high heat. Regulate your iron to medium temperature before you place it on your black t-shirt.

4. Fold Neatly and Keep in your Clothes Box

After ironing completion, place the front side of your black t-shirt on a board and fold the left side to the middle and fold the sleeve to the south. Do the same for the right side. Now fold from the bottom to the top (neck) and place between folded shirts in your wardrobe or clothes box. Follow my above highlighted tips and watch your black t-shirts last almost forever.
